 Description:
Outlines the legal responsibilities, restrictions, issues, and ethics the practitioner must be aware of to be protected and operate legally in the natural health field. Covered are the proper terminology for communicating and interacting with others and how to educate others in the natural health field. This course is a hands-on practitioner's guide to creating a professional, safe, and enduring practice. Students will reflect on the Code of Ethics as it pertains to the practitioner of Natural Medicine, as well as on the many ethical issues surfacing in regards to new scientific developments.


 Goal Statements:
- The student will be introduced to the basics of professional ethics.
- The student will learn the boundaries of professional relationships.
- The student will gain an understanding of client rights and counselor responsibilities.
- The student will also be introduced to many other important concepts, such as confidentiality, professional competence, emotions in the treatment room, dual relationships, etc.
